ARCHITECTURAL EXCELLENCE

LINEL designs, engineers and manufactures monumental skylight, panel systems, and ornamental metal products in a modern production facility ten miles south of the Indianapolis International Airport. Our architectural products, which are featured nationally, are typically aluminum frame, panel, and glass assemblies that rely heavily on our proven engineering and manufacturing expertise.

Our largest product segment is skylights, followed by architectural products and electrostatic paint processes, both of which exhibit consistent and continued growth. We manufacture a variety of custom-designed architectural products for commercial and residential applications. Virtually every component is constructed to unique designs submitted by the architect and fabricated to rigid specifications in our plant.

Our 100 employees operate in a two building complex encompassing over 85,000 square feet in Mooresville, Indiana. We consistently invest in our plant and equipment to keep our competitive edge. Fabrication equipment such as the Elumatec SBZ, 151, 5-axis machining center, the FASTI Panel Folder, the Calypso Waterjet Cutting System and a state-of-the-art, EPA-compliant paint system enables LINEL to be a high-quality, cost competitive supplier. Our in-house finishing capability is an important production tool that most providers do not have.

HISTORY

In 1978, LINEL was an early entrant in the commercial skylight business. We developed expertise and a commitment to excellence and emerged as one of the leaders in manufacturing skylights and other architectural products for commercial buildings.

The existing stakeholders acquired the assets of LINEL in February 1996. Robert B. Sloan, the Company’s President and Managing Member of the privately held company is the majority shareholder.

As our business has expanded beyond skylights, we are now manufacturing architectural façade products such as panels, column covers, flashing, trim, fascia, soffit, gutters and coping. These products have accounted for 40-60% of the company’s revenue over the past three years and we believe we will continue to gain incremental revenues from our broadened offerings. We are perfecting our manufacturing capabilities and developing deeper customer and installation relationships.

In 2001, LINEL installed an EPA compliant paint line, which offers customers a wide variety of finish options. The quality of our post-fabrication finishes is a competitive advantage. Many fabricators outsource this process, thereby reducing the assurance of quality and delivery. We also market paint capacity to third parties and prospective buyers of architectural metal fabrications.
